Apple Device Lookup
Look up an iPhone from its model identifier, part number, or IMEI.
Apple Device Lookup on Loonix helps you look up an iPhone from its model identifier, part number, or name, and read an IMEI without sending it anywhere.
How to use
- Paste a model identifier, an A-number, or a device name.
- Read the model and its part numbers by region.
- For an IMEI, check the Luhn result before trusting the digits.
Features and limitations
- One field accepts a model identifier, an A-number, a device name, or a 15-digit IMEI.
- Shows every part number for a model with the region each one covers, because they differ by country.
- Validates an IMEI with the Luhn algorithm and breaks it into TAC, device digit, serial, and check digit.
- Says plainly that digits 9 to 14 are not a global serial number and should not be shared.
- Prints its sources and the date they were checked.
Limitation: A curated table of 47 iPhone models from the 5s to the 18 Pro Max, and it does not map IMEI TAC values to models because a complete TAC database is thousands of rows. It validates the IMEI structure and Luhn check digit, which is as far as it can go honestly.
Use cases
- Identify a second-hand phone from the settings screen before buying it.
- Check which model a marketing name corresponds to in a bug report or analytics table.
- Split an IMEI into its parts to see whether the number you were given is even valid.
Frequently asked questions
Usage, result, and limitation information for this tool.
- Which number should I look at in Settings?
- The model identifier, shown as something like iPhone14,5. It is the most reliable because it does not change between regions; the A-number does.
- Why are there several part numbers for one model?
- Apple sells different variants per country, each with its own A-number. The table shows the main ones with the region each covers.
- Can I get the exact model from an IMEI?
- Only the first eight digits, the TAC, identify the model, and mapping those to models needs a TAC database this tool does not carry. It validates the structure and the Luhn check digit instead.
- Is sharing my IMEI safe?
- Treat it as sensitive. It identifies your device, and digits 9 to 14 have since 2014 been assigned by Apple rather than being a manufacturing serial number.
- How current is this table?
- It reaches the iPhone 18 Pro Max. The source URLs and the check date are printed at the bottom of the page so you can judge how much to trust it.
