App Store Screenshot Sizes
Get exact App Store screenshot dimensions for every current device class.
App Store Screenshot Sizes on Loonix helps you get the exact screenshot sizes App Store Connect accepts, including the 6.9-inch class that replaced 6.7-inch.
How to use
- Pick the display class you are designing for.
- Export at the recommended size.
- If you already have images, enter their dimensions to check whether Apple accepts them.
Features and limitations
- Shows every accepted size per display class, with the native one marked so you know which to export at.
- Says there is no 6.7-inch class any more, which is the part most online guides still get wrong.
- Checks a size you already have and tells you whether Apple accepts it, and why.
- Distinguishes accepted from native, since Apple scales an accepted size up and it will look softer.
Limitation: Reflects the display classes App Store Connect accepted when last checked. Apple merges and renames these classes without much notice, so verify against your own App Store Connect before an upload.
Use cases
- Export listing screenshots before an App Store review rejects them.
- Check whether an existing set of images is still an accepted size.
- Decide whether a design needs separate art for the larger device class.
Frequently asked questions
Usage, result, and limitation information for this tool.
- What happened to the 6.7-inch screenshot slot?
- Apple merged it into the 6.9-inch display class. The 6.9-inch class now accepts three portrait sizes, and the old standalone 6.7-inch field is gone from App Store Connect.
- Which size should I export at?
- The one marked native for your class. You can also upload at any other accepted size and Apple scales it, but it will be upscaled on the largest devices and look softer.
- Do I need screenshots for every device class?
- Usually no. If your interface matches across sizes, one set at the largest accepted size is scaled down automatically, provided the aspect ratios line up.
- Why did my upload get rejected when the dimensions looked right?
- Apple validates the exact pixel dimensions against its accepted list, so being one pixel off fails. Use the checker above with the real dimensions of your file.
- How many screenshots can I upload?
- Between one and ten per localization, plus up to three app previews per device size and language.
